Township Man Arrested in Moorestown Bank Robbery: Police

Moorestown Police say the culprit lives just a few blocks from the scene of the crime.

A Moorestown man who lives just a few blocks from the scene of Wednesday’s Susquehanna Bank robbery has been arrested for the crime, according to police.

Moorestown Police arrested Patrick C. Walters, 30, of the 200 block of South Lenola Road, on Friday following an investigation into the robbery, according to a report.

Police said Walters entered the bank, at 501 S. Lenola Road, around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and handed one of the tellers a note indicating he had put an explosive device in a trash can and demanding cash. The bomb threat, however, turned out to be a hoax.
