Township Man Arrested on Drug Charges

Also, Maple Shade Police investigate the theft of a dirt bike from Elm Avenue.

Feb. 4

Arrest (possession of paraphernalia), 4:56 p.m. — Police arrested Ryan T. Gumpper, 20, of Maple Shade, during an investigation into suspicious activity on West Main Street at Coles Avenue. According to police, Gumpper was found in possession of a glass pipe, a hypodermic needle and a partially smoked marijuana cigarette. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a summons.

Feb. 5

Theft, 8:16 a.m. — Someone stole approximately $300-1,000 worth of Camlock 4/0 copper cable from Sunbelt Rentals on Route 73 North, police said. Video surveillance showed a white male dressed in black wearing a black ski cap stealing the cable. The gate to the facility was secured, and it is unknown how the suspect got in.

Feb. 6

Vehicle theft, 9:51 a.m. — Police said a burglar cut the padlocks off two sheds on a property on the 400 block of Elm Avenue. Nothing was stolen from inside the sheds, but a Honda 50CC FX-BVR dirt bike was stolen from the yard. The bike is described as red and white with red tires.
