Transformer Fire Results in Power Outage at Moorestown Mall

The stores on the west side of the mall are closed. No one was injured.

A transformer fire led to a power outage on the west side of the Moorestown Mall Tuesday afternoon, according to Moorestown Police.

Police responded to a fire call at the mall around 1:30 p.m. An underground transformer in the parking lot on the north side of the west wing of the mall malfunctioned.

No one was injured. Stores on the west side of the mall are closed as a result of the ensuing power outage. The rest of the mall remains open.
