UPDATE: Shoplifters Drive Into Snowbank Near Moorestown Mall

Police caught one suspect, while the other remains at large.

UPDATE: One shoplifter was arrested and another fled after they stole $1,600 worth of coats from Macy's Saturday and then drove into a snowbank, police said.

According to Moorestown Police, the two men stuffed seven coats into two bags, then fled the mall in an Avis rental car. They promptly slammed the car into a snowbank nearby and fled on foot.

Police found one of the suspects—27-year-old Alvin Timothy Brady Jr., of Philadelphia—hiding nearby in the rear storage area of Staples. The second, as yet unidentified suspect remains at large.

Brady, who is also wanted on several warrants out of Evesham, was charged with shoplifting and lodged in Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
