Vehicle Thefts Keep Mount Laurel Police Busy

Theft (The Lakes) — Someone stole an undetermined amount of medication from a home on the 1600 block of Denham Court, police said. The theft occurred between noon May 18 and 1 p.m. May 19. No force was used to enter the residence.

Arrest (fraudulent use of credit cards) — Police arrested Ahmed F. Trebuse, 29, of the 1300 block of East 99th Street, Brooklyn, NY, and Princess L. Cummings, 25, of the 5200 block of Kings Highway, Brooklyn, NY, for fraudulent use of credit cards, obstruction, and criminal mischief at the CVS on Route 38, according to a report. Both were released on $3,500 bail.

Theft from vehicle — A burglar broke the window of a vehicle at Eric’s Lawn Care on Mount Laurel Road and stole approximately $2,500 worth of landscaping equipment from inside, police said. The theft occurred between the evening of May 22 and 7:41 a.m. May 23.  Damage is estimated at $300.

Stolen vehicle, 12-5 p.m. — Police said someone stole a 2012 Nissan Rogue, valued at $25,000, from Best Cleaners on Route 38.

May 24

Arrest (DWI), 9:14 p.m. — Police arrested Michael J. Sample, 43, of the 500 block of Estate Road, Maple Shade, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on South Church Street, according to a report. He was charged and released pending a municipal court hearing.

May 25

Arrest (DWI), 3:06 a.m. — Police arrested Scott D. Bower, 23, of the 100 block of Farnwood Road for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Academy Road, according to a report. He was charged and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft from vehicle (Ramblewood Apartments) — Someone stole medication and cash, valued at approximately $260, from an unlocked vehicle on the 800 block of Country Club Parkway, police said. The theft occurred between 12:30 p.m. May 24 and 1:45 p.m. May 25.

Theft, 1:45-2 p.m. — Someone stole a bag from the basketball court at the YMCA on Centerton Road, police said. The bag and its contents were valued at more than $620.

May 26

Theft (Hunter’s Crossing), 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Police said someone stole a Radio Flyer wagon, valued at $100, from the 200 block of Roberts Lane.

Burglary (Innisfree), 5-10:30 p.m. — A burglar forced open the rear window of a home on the 100 block of Farnwood Road and stole approximately $2,200 worth of jewelry, police said.

May 27

Arrest (DWI), 3:05 a.m. — Police arrested Juan A. Velazquez, 35, of the 900 block of River Road, Camden, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Route 38, according to a report. He was charged and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Stolen vehicle (Birchfield) — Someone stole a 1997 Honda Civic, valued at $3,000, from the unit block of Azalea Lane between noon May 26 and 8:49 a.m. May 27, police said.
