Wanted Mt. Laurel Man Resisted Arrest: Police

Police say 27-year-old Darren Newton had arrest warrants out of Camden City.

A wanted Mount Laurel man resisted arrest when officers tried to take him into custody Sunday, police said.

Mount Laurel Police responded to the home of Darren M. Newton, 27, of Cypress Point Circle, for a report of disorderly conduct, according to a report. When they arrived, officers discovered Newton had criminal warrants out of Camden City.

Newton resisted officers when they tried to take him into custody, police said. He was charged with resisting arrest, with bail set at $1,500. He was committed to Burlington County Jail.
