Other facts

Reducing the cost of county government remains a priority. We have cut taxes $6.2 million in the 2012 budget alone, for a total reduction of $14.7 million since 2007. Spending has been reduced $27 million in the same period. Meanwhile, we continue to provide recreation grants to the towns ($15 million over three years) and improve county resources for businesses and job seekers. Our new job seekers webpage is now the second most-visited on the county website.

Freeholder Garganio has been one of the best leaders this county has ever seen. He's cut taxes each year since taking office, he's cut government spending, he's fought to protect our local open spaces, and he's been one of the most accessible Freeholders in recent memory. He earned my vote this time around. I didn't vote for him in 2009, but my whole family is voting for him now!

As a 28 year resident of BURLCO, I continue to be impressed by the way the County is run. With taxes on the rise from every possible govt authority, the County has held the line or lowered them. I don't detect a reduction in County services and the Park System is a model for the rest of the state. Not sure of the Bridge Commission - I'd like to see an expose on that outfit..............
