Code Blue in Effect in Burlington County Beginning Monday Night

Temperatures are projected to drop drastically this week.

Due to projected falling temperatures, Burlington County officials announced a Code Blue is in effect Monday night, Feb. 24-Thursday, Feb. 27.

The Code Blue takes effect at 8 p.m. Monday and is set to expire Thursday at noon. Officials will then review and assess upcoming weather forecasts.

The current forecast from the National Weather Service indicates temperatures no higher than 34 degrees this week, with lows in the teens twice this week. Snowfall is projected for late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

A Code Blue is issued when weather conditions pose potential harm or death to those without shelter. The Code Blue provides temporary shelter.
