Moorestown Council Debates Spending More on Holiday Decorations

Mayor Christopher Chiacchio said he wants to see what the costs will be, while Deputy Mayor Stacey Jordan wants to see older decorations replaced.

Moorestown Council is debating whether the township should spend more money on Christmas decorations, the Burlington County Times reports.

The discussion began at last week’s council meeting, and is now in the hands of the Appearances Committee. Everything associated with increased decorations will be considered, including costs, who will shoulder the bill and where the decorations will go, according to the report.

Mayor Christopher Chiacchio said he wanted to see what the costs would be before making a decision, and Councilman Greg Newcomer said there’s room for it in the budget, according to the report.
