Moorestown Election Guide

In case you haven't noticed, there's an election happening today, and pretty much everything is up for grabs—from Moorestown Township Council on up to president.

There's been so much electioneering going on you'd be forgiven for forgetting exactly who's running and for what. Read on to find out everything you need to know before you hit the polls today, including where and when to vote.

Due to Hurricane Sandy, the state is allowing displaced residents to vote by email or by fax. Here's how the process works: The resident contacts the county clerk in their county of residence and requests a mail-in ballot application. The clerk then emails/faxes the application to the voter, the voter fills it out and sends it back. Once the clerk has verified the application, they'll send the voter a ballot, which the voter will fill out—along with a "waiver of secrecy"—and then email/fax back to the clerk, at which point the ballot will be printed and counted. 

And lastly, displaced voters may also vote by provisional ballot at any polling place in the state. If a voter casts a ballot in a county other than the voter's county of registration, the Board of Election will deliver the ballot to the commissioner of registration in the voter's county of registration.
