Moorestown Election Guide: Municipal, County and Federal

The candidates running in the township and Burlington County.

  •  The council race will be a three-way contest between Republican candidates Pete Palko, Phil Garwood and Victoria Napolitano; Democratic candidates Greg Newcomer, Mark Hines and Brian Sattinger; and Independents John Button, Randy Cherkas and Elaine Goralski. There are three open seats on council.
  • Moorestown School Board: In a crowded field, eight candidates are running for three open seats on the township school board. They are: incumbent David Weinstein, and Brandon Pugh, Joseph Ruccolo, Daniella Gordon, Christian J. Moye, Dimitri Schneiberg, Sheryl Sawin and Rebecca Hagerty Williams. 
  • Burlington County Freeholders: Democrats Aimee Belgard of Edgewater Park and Joanne Schwartz of Southampton face incumbent Republicans Bruce Garganio of Florence and Mary Ann O’Brien of Medford. 
  • U.S. Congress Incumbent Republican Jon Runyan faces Democrat Shelley Adler, the widow of John Adler, whom Runyan defeated for his seat. 
  • U.S. Senate: U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D), the junior United States senator from New Jersey who was first appointed in 2006 to fill Jon Corzine's seat, takes on Republican challenger Joe Kyrillos, who easily defeated three opponents in the primary.
