Three Charities to Benefit From Christie Inauguration Proceeds

Save Ellis Island, New Jersey Heroes and the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark will share the proceeds.

Gov. Chris Christie will hold his second inauguration celebration next month on Ellis Island, and the non-profit Save Ellis Island charity will benefit from the proceeds, nj.com reports.

The other two are New Hope Baptist Church in Newark and New Jersey Heroes, according to the report.

New Hope Baptist Church will host the morning inauguration services, according to the report. The inauguration takes place Jan. 21 at the Grand Hall on Ellis Island, according to the report.

Save Ellis Island is a partner with the National Park Service. Its mission is to oversee the rehabilitation restoration and reuse of the twenty-nine unrestored buildings on the south side of Ellis Island, according to the non-profit's website.

New Jersey Heroes was founded by First Lady Mary Pat Christie. It recognizes, celebrates, and promotes residents who give back to their community and inspire other residents of the state to give back to their community, according to newjerseyheroes.org.
