Township Manager Resigns

Chris Schultz will be leaving Moorestown for a position in Medford.

Chris Schultz, township manager of Moorestown since 2008, has resigned to take a new position as township manager of Medford, township officials confirmed.

“We’re disappointed," Deputy Mayor Greg Gallo said. "Chris has worked hard for the township. We wish him well.”

Schultz's last day will be May 18.

Schultz, who took over for longtime township manager Jack Terry, previously served as director of redevelopment and urban enterprise zone coordinator in Pemberton Township, and township administrator in both Hainesport and Holmdel townships.

The 41-year-old Schultz is a resident of Medford Lakes.

Schultz holds a BA from Richard Stockton State College, along with a Masters of Public Administration from Rutgers University. He also holds a MS degree in public safety management from St. Joseph’s University. As township manager, Schultz oversaw the operations of seven departments and supervised more than 160 full-time employees.
