High Schoolers Give Back with Competitive Fundraiser

Instead of holding another spring pep rally, Moorestown High School students last week split into teams based on color and battled against each other in a competitive fundraiser—dubbed "Colors for Causes"—to raise money for four different charities.

The day revolved around two main activities—a 5K walk/run and a volleyball tournament—and each student participating sought sponsors to raise money for one of four charities: the Foundation for Breast and Prostate Cancer, the American Red Cross, the Ronald McDonald House and the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Central Pennsylvania.

High school art teacher Toni Paparone took photos of the day's activities, including a visit from Jeff Yalden, the country's top youth motivational speaker.
