Important Moorestown School Dates
Patch highlights five important dates on the school calendars for the Moorestown Public School District and Moorestown Friends School.
1. The first full day of school for both (MFS) and (MTPS) is Thursday, Sept. 6 (except for preschoolers, pre-kindergartners and kindergartners at MFS, who have a half day).
2. MFS students get a three-day weekend in October when the school takes off for fall break on Oct. 8.
3. MTPS students get off Tuesday, Nov. 6, for a teacher in-service (it's also Election Day), and then enjoy a four-day weekend from Nov. 8-11 for the New Jersey Education Association Convention.

4. Both schools begin the Thanksgiving holiday with early dismissals on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and return on Monday, Nov. 26.
5. Moorestown Friends students have off from Dec. 20 through Jan. 2 for winter break, while MTPS students will take off from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.

Bonus date: The last day of school/graduation for MTPS students/ seniors is June 20. MFS will hold its commencement on June 8.
