'It’s A Great Feeling to Go Out Like That As A Senior'

 (MHS) will celebrate commencement at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, graduating about 330 seniors.

All this week, Moorestown Patch has provided short profiles of a group of graduates: where they're attending college, their fondest memory from MHS and what they'll miss most (and least) about being high school students.

Age: 17

Activities: Varsity Swimmer (went to States for swimming in individual and team events in 2011 and 2012), Member of CASA (Community Alliance on Substance Awareness)—being a student leader the past two years, Member of the Moorestown Madrigals, acted in spring musical freshman and sophomore year, 2012 Prom King

College: Case Western Reserve University

Intended Major: Biomedical Engineering

Career interest: To work as an engineer abroad, preferably in emerging Asian countries.

Fondest Memory from High School: This year, on the swim team, we went to sectionals, and we’ve gone to sectionals all four years, but we always have lost to Haddonfield. And this year we won, which was a huge deal. It’s like the first time Moorestown’s beaten Haddonfield since 1999. It’s a big deal that we won and it’s a great feeling to go out like that as a senior … A lot of the seniors have worked really hard to win, so it was just amazing to win, finally.

Most Important Thing You Learned at High School: Probably how hard it is to get a best friend and how easy it is to lose them. How to keep in contact with relationships and how to maintain them cause of the different trials of high school. You learn just how to maintain relationships. I’ve made good friends the last four years.

What You’ll Miss Most: The swim team. And my friends. Everyone says they’ll miss their friends, but you’ll never be in an environment again where you see them all every day. I’ll see still them, but I’ll never be again in a place where I can see all 10 of the people I really enjoy seeing every day.

What You’ll Miss Least: Almost the idea of high school. I’ve spent so much time in school, I think I’m really just ready to move on to a new place and meet new people.
