Ivy League Singers Entertain, Teach at Moorestown Friends

The Princeton Nassoons, who have entertained royalty and U.S. presidents, will perform their a capella songs for Moorestown Friends students Friday.

From Moorestown Friends School:

On Friday, April 19, Moorestown Friends School (MFS) will welcome the The Princeton Nassoons, an a capella group from Princeton University. The Nassoons will perform two songs and conduct a workshop for approximately 100 middle and upper school students at 1:35 p.m. in the Moorestown Friends Meeting House. The MFS Upper School A Capella Choir will perform one song and the Nassoons will conduct their workshop based on that performance and provide suggestions for improvement.

The Princeton Nassoons are one of the world's finest collegiate performance ensembles. Founded in 1941, they have sung four-, five- and six-part harmonies alongside the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, the Lettermen and Ben Folds. They tour the globe three times a year, sharing music, dancing and jokes with audiences that have included three U.S. presidents, the King and Queen of Jordan, vacationers in Cancun, screaming school children in Taiwan and socialites in Monte Carlo. The group is currently made up of 19 undergraduates at Princeton.
