Moorestown Friends Holds Mock Primary

students participated in yet another mock primary Tuesday, building on the school's 50-plus-year tradition of holding mock election events to educate students about the political process. 

Thoughout the daylong event, students at virtually every grade level participated in town hall meetings, debates, ballot issue presentations and workshops. U.S. Rep. Jon Runyan and Moorestown Mayor John Button stopped in to talk to the students, and radio personality Michael Smerconish moderated a debate between the candidates.

Republican presidential candidate John Huntsman, played by junior Joe Kiernan, claimed victory at the school's primary (perhaps the only primary Huntsman will win, given recent polling numbers).
