Moorestown Friends Win Consumer Bowl

The team will move onto the regional competition.

Moorestown Friends School won the 12th annual Burlington County Consumer Bowl, beating 12 other teams. It was Moorestown Friends' first time in the competition.

Captain Amanda Connell, Trinh Son, Spencer Bard and Kirsten Mullen all answered correctly to start the finals against defending champion Seneca, Cinnaminson and Delran.

The first series of questions were for each of the four individual team members in the game-show format competition, sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

The second series of questions were team questions answered by each school’s captain, followed by bonus questions that any team member could buzz in and answer. Moorestown Friends held a five-point lead over Cinnaminson as the teams headed into the lightning round.

Delran and Moorestown Friends were the only teams to score points in the lightning round. Penalties were assessed for incorrect answers.
