○     Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Kelly went through an extensive interview process and was one of three candidates chosen for this scholarship. She was chosen based on her interview, her excellent grades, community involvement and involvement in extracurricular activities. The scholarship is full tuition for four years while maintaining a B average.

The award supports the efforts of academically able students who are good citizens, who seek leadership roles in their communities and the world, and who demonstrate financial need.

Kelly, a resident of Willingboro, is an A student at Our Lady of Good Counsel School. She plays defense for the OLGC field hockey team and is a member of the cheerleading squad. Her interests include science and her Catholic faith.

Kelly is involved in programs to help others in need. This year, she volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Camden, which houses families of sick children being treated at nearby hospitals.

Kelly said her Catholic education has helped her appreciate the blessings in her life and motivates her to help those who are not as fortunate. She said she has wanted to be a scientist “forever.” She has received all A’s for the first two marking periods this year.

During the summer after completing sixth grade, Kelly enrolled for the math and science enrichment program at Camden Catholic and fell in love with the school.
