Dave Robinson Enshrined in Pro Football Hall of Fame

The Moorestown football standout and NFL great was formally inducted into the Hall of Fame in Canton, OH over the weekend.

Moorestown football legend and NFL great Dave Robinson was officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday.

Robinson, a Mount Laurel native, graduated from Moorestown High School in 1959 after putting together quite an impressive resume as a multi-sport student-athlete. He played more than a decade in the NFL—most of it as a Packer under legendary coach Vince Lombardi—and won three world championships with Green Bay in 1965, ‘66 and ‘67.

He was named to the Hall of Fame just before the Super Bowl in February, but had to wait until this weekend for his formal enshrinement in Canton alongside other NFL greats like Bill Parcells, Cris Carter and Curley Culp.

According to Moorestown Historical Society trustee Lenny Wagner, Robinson stands out among the crop of great Moorestown athletes—particularly now that he's in the Hall of Fame.

"You could definitely make a case that he’s become the most accomplished sports figure in Moorestown history," said Wagner.
