"Defensively, we played together as a unit, successfully double teaming the ball and shutting down Lightening's offensive opportunities," said coach Liz Borucki. "Our patience on attack and well placed shots helped us to overcome an early three goal deficit.  Throughout the day, our defensive unit came up big for us, allowing very few shots on goal.

"When there was a shot on goal, Gabby came up huge, making save after save. Offensively, we moved the ball well, remaining patient and looking for scoring opportunities. We capitalized on loose balls all over the field, and collectively worked together as a team to win the tournament and finish the day 6-0."
