MFS Camp Fair

Moorestown Friends School will host its 19th annual Camp Fair in the school’s Field House. The fair, the largest in South Jersey, will feature approximately 80 camps. Admission is free. The fair is sponsored by the MFS Parent Council.

There will be entertainment for children. Refreshments and lunch will be available for purchase.

A wide variety of summer camps will be represented, including day and residential camps for preschoolers through high schoolers. Camps will be from the South Jersey/Philadelphia area, as well as camps in New York, North Carolina, Colorado, New Hampshire, Vermont, Florida and Maine.

Opportunities to travel internationally will also be available. Camps include Sail Caribbean, which offers training in sailing, scuba diving and marine biology aboard a 50-foot yacht or 47-foot catamaran;  China Programs offer a summer abroad in China with a focus on language and culture and an opportunity for a homestay with a Chinese family.

Traditional camps will be present as well as specialty camps with programs in art, sports, academic enrichment, advanced science, technology and service.

One of the sports camps attending is the Phillies Baseball Academy, where campers learn from professional players and coaches, and get an official tour of Citizens Bank Park. 

he Discovery Camp at the Franklin Institute, where kids explore fields of science such as chemistry and astronomy through exhibits, field trips and outdoor exploration, will also be present.

MFS is home to ESF Summer Camp in 2011.  ESF is an activity day camp for children ages 4 to 15. ESF also runs The Innovation Project at MFS where campers problem solve, create and innovate while collaborating with a team on ideas to solve real-world, practical issues.
