Freshman Helps Moorestown Girls Lacrosse Team Win State Title

The Quakers will compete in the Tournament of Champions on Wednesday.

The Moorestown High School girls lacrosse team advanced to the Tournament of Champions last week thanks in part to the solid play of freshman goalie Jessica Goralski, the subject of a profile on the Burlington County Times website over the weekend.

Moorestown defeated West Morris Mendham, 6-5, to capture the NJSIAA State Group III championship last week.

It is the No. 1 seed in the Tournament of Champions, and will face State Group 4 champion Lenape on Wednesday in the semifinal round of the Tournament of Champions, according to nj.com. No. 2 Summit faces No. 3 Mountain Lakes in the other semifinal.

The Tournament of Champions pits state champions from the four public groups against each other for the overall state title.
