Moorestown Crowns 1 Wrestling Champion, Places 2 Others in Finals

Will Mason won the 160-pound title over the weekend.

Will Mason captured the 160-pound championship for Moorestown High School at the Robin Leff Invitational on Saturday, according to nj.com.

Mason captured the crown with a 5-1 decision over Jacob Yancey, who competes for Wilson High School in Pennsylvania.

Two other Moorestown wrestlers, including one who advanced to the state tournament last year, advanced to the finals, but the results weren’t as fruitful.

Anthony Williamson advanced to the final at 170 pounds. He dropped a 3-1 decision to Southern Regional’s Gerardo Jorge.

Tyreek Smith advanced to the final of the 220-pound bracket. He fell to Jackson’s Ken Bradley, 4-2. Smith finished sixth in the state last year.
