Moorestown Takes Home Wins at Manny Flick

Members of Moorestown crew raced in the 4th Manny Flick sponsored by the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association. 

The team had two first-place finishes and two third-place finishes. 

The Boys JV4 A Boat raced in a head race, a time trial race where boats are started every 10 to 15 seconds and race the clock. The JV 4 placed first out of 25 boats in this category. Rowers in the JV4 A are Andrew Hendrickson (stroke), Kevin Shaloo, Will Roman, Matthew O’Donnell (bow) and Jack Sencindiver (coxswain). 

The Boys Novice 4 Boat finished first in their race. Members of this boat are Joe Gonelli (stroke), Wes Bickmore, Will Gross, Kevin Harris (bow) and Mike Voyack (coxswain). 

The varsity girls' squad had two third-place finishes. The Girls Light 8 includes Katie Stevens (stroke), Allie Stevens, Alexe Tsao, Julie Camoratto, Scout Brisson, Clara Slight, Jessica Buck, Sarah Jaraha (bow) and Lizzie Garrison (coxswain). Also finishing third was the Girls Varsity 8. Racing in this boat were Claire Wixted (stroke), Kristen Van Iderstine, Emily Van Fossen, Sam Travinia, Jules Downey, Dannie Baskin, Peyton Conrey, Gabriella Martin (bow) and Sarah Tennenbaum (coxswain).

The team is now preparing for the fifth and final Flick this weekend before the highly competitive medal races begin April 30.
