Fourth of July Parade Seeks Veterans to March

All veterans—regardless of when or where they served—are invited to mark Independence Day by marching in Moorestown's Fourth of July parade.

From the Moorestown Fourth of July parade organizers:

The Moorestown Fourth of July Parade will take place on Thursday July 4, 2013 (step-off time is noon). The Parade Committee wishes to invite those military veterans of Moorestown who served honorably to participate in this celebration of our freedom.

The committee feels that the crowd will respond wonderfully to seeing a float and/or marching contingent of those heroes who guaranteed that freedom. It shows "team spirit" as well as giving the spectators a sense that the veterans "get it" in terms of Moorestown First.

So, if you did time in a combat zone or didn’t, war time or peace time, makes no difference to the committee. Please accept our invitation since it was you who raised your hand to serve this nation.

Assembly will be at the intersection of Central and Chester Avenues. Please arrive early enough to be counted and receive your place in the lineup. Also, please wear something that marks your veteran status (military ball cap, etc.)
