FEP Hosts Empty Bowl Dinner

Event will raise awareness of hunger.

The Friends Enrichment Program will host an Empty Bowl Dinner March 13 at the .

Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and will feature freshly baked breads and a variety of soups served in handmade ceramic bowls, many produced by FEP children and young members of Moorestown Friends Meeting. The bowls were created during a pottery workshop with ceramic artist and Moorestown Friends School art teacher David Gamber.         

The bowls will be displayed and sold at the dinner. Admission is free. However, freewill donations will be gratefully accepted. Proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of South Jersey and the FEP scholarship fund. The FEP scholarship fund will provide summer camp scholarships, art classes, sports clinics or music lessons for FEP scholarship recipients. FEP is a program for underprivileged Moorestown children.
