Funeral Home Owner Named President of Moorestown Rotary Club

John Engleman, owner of , was recently named president of The Rotary Club of Moorestown.  

Engleman, a township resident, has been a Rotarian since 1989.

“I consider Rotary to be one of the most important things I’ve done in my life” Engleman said. 

Engleman said his goal as president is to "connect our club to the greater mission of Rotary international and make a difference locally.

“I have enjoyed the many people that I have worked with over the years, the friendships I have formed, and look forward to the things I know our club can accomplish,” he added.

Engleman's community service background includes serving as a trustee of  the Burlington County College Foundation Board. He also is a former member of the volunteer Moorestown Fire Department, board member of the Moorestown Emergency Squad, and a trustee of the Moorestown Community House. 

“Part of the responsibility of being a good citizen is to raise your hand and volunteer to serve that community you call home,” he said. 

This year’s motto for Rotary is "Family First," and the club plans to focus on unique ways to involve Rotary families in its yearly efforts to serve our community.   

Additionally “It is my goal to get everyone involved this year whether you have been a member of this club for one month or 50 years,” Engleman said at his installation dinner in July. “It is my hope that with every member's support and experience and our previous officers, directors and committee chairs, we can improve on the things that worked in the past and try new things to keep this the club going strong and  to make this year a success.” 

Rotary is a community-service organization made up of of business and professional leaders. There are a total of 1.2 million Rotartians in more than 30,000 Rotary clubs worldwide.
