BOE Meeting, Theater Premiere Highlight Week Ahead

Did we miss something going on in Moorestown this week? Let us know.

The Moorestown Board of Education moved its meeting up to this Tuesday (as opposed to the originally scheduled Aug. 20 date). This is the first meeting since BOE and Moorestown Education Association members met with a state-appointed mediator last week to try and come to terms on a new contract. (Spoiler alert: They didn't.)

The board will hold an executive session at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the administration building, followed by the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the middle school. As of Sunday, the agenda for the meeting had not been posted on the district website

Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) premieres Fame Jr. Wednesday. The classic American musical, featuring a cast of 13- to 17-year-olds, premieres at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Community Church, with additional showings Thursday and Friday. Visit the MTC website for more info or to buy tickets.

Summer's almost over, but if you're still looking to get your body a little more beach-ready—or are just looking for an alternative to your regular, run-of-the-mill workout—there are plenty of fitness options available in town this week.

Subversion Fitness offers a multitude of body boot camps, early bird boot camps and Zumba workouts through out the week. And the Yoga Path studio on Main Street is offering a self-defense workshop for women on Tuesday night, with lessons in Aikido, a Japanese martial art.

Check out Moorestown Patch's event calendar for a complete listing of this week's fitness offerings.
