2014 Civility Awards

With the 2014 Recreation Basketball Season underway the Department of Parks & Recreation is proud to once again, partner with Live Civilly to present the 2014 Civility Awards.  Now in its fourth athletic season, the Civility Awards are presented to student athletes who embody the characteristics of sportsmanship and teamwork.

In an era when youth sports has come under fire for overly aggressive and negatively competitive acts, Live Civilly and the Moorestown Department of Recreation are proud to have nearly a dozen youth who have been nominated already for keeping the game clean and leading by example.  The Department of Parks & Recreation offers programs that allow youth and adults of all skill levels to play in a safe, and fun, environment.  The Recreation Department's new jerseys display the logo "All In" indicating that you can be "all in" and give it your best effort, as well as making room for ALL to compete.

Congratulations to the following players (and Coach!) for showing that good sportsmanship is what keeps the game competitive and fun!  Avery Haynes, Joe DiMarino, Antonis Christou, Peyton LaRose, Christina Levins, COACH John Levins, Frankie Pryor, John Pryor, James Kaddissi, Danny Winkler, Ford Nemmers, Alex Aslanidis, Chase Young and Jaxson Zaorski!

Coaches should send nominations for players to Live Civilly at contact@livecivilly.org.  Keep up the good work and enjoy the games!
