Main St., Moorestown; June 10 at 7 p.m. Why Go: Come enjoy a beer tasting that will feature pre- and post-Prohibition brew selections that would have been available in the early 1900s when Evergreen Lawn was built. Learn about the history of area breweries, bid on auction items that include handmade beer steins and other items by local artisans, and enjoy live ragtime, blues and jazz music. Proceeds from this event will support major facility upgrades for Perkins Center for the Arts Moorestown buildings and the ongoing arts education programming and scholarships …

Sign up for the Summer Reading program at the Library.

1.     This week–June 6-10–is the last full week of school for Moorestown Township Public School students. 2.     The Moorestown Library’s Summer Reading program begins today. Make sure you bring the kids to the library to sign up. 3.     The Recreation Advisory Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the New Albany Rec Center. 4.     The Moorestown Business Association will hold its monthly ArtWalk from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday on Main Street.  5.     Perkins Center’s A Toast to the Past with Perkins Center: Celebrating Evergreen Lawn's Centennial will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Community House. Come out and sample beer while supporting Perkins.

Take An Artistic Stroll Down Main Street

ArtWalk kicks off its season May 13.

This will be the first year Charles Davis will participate in ArtWalk. Davis is a woodworker who left the software industry a year ago. “I have been pouring my energy into my craft and attempting to start a small business doing what I love,” said Davis. “For me, ArtWalk is essentially where I will launch my business, Wood Zealot’s Workshop.” For Davis and the other artists, ArtWalk is a chance to showcase their art. ArtWalk, is held the second Friday of the month from May through October. It is sponsored by the Moorestown Business Association and will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. this Friday.
