County Makes Remembering Anniversaries Easy Again

The Burlington County clerk is once again offering couples the chance to exchange vows on Valentine's Day at the Smithville Mansion.

The county’s making it easier for guys to remember anniversaries again this year by holding Valentine’s Day weddings at the historic Smithville Mansion in Eastampton. “Given the enormous success of several years of St. Valentine’s Day weddings, it is once again my pleasure to offer couples the opportunity to exchange vows at the stately Smithville Mansion,” said County Clerk Timothy Tyler.  “With the continued support and cooperation of the county freeholders, the county Division of Parks and the Friends of Smithville Mansion, we are looking forward to hosting the event at this gorgeous and historic location.” There are a limited number of appointments available, so interested couples should contact the clerk’s office as soon as possible …

Looking for a scenic, historic backdrop for your wedding? Burlington County Clerk Timothy Tyler will be performing individual wedding ceremonies at the county’s historic Smithville Mansion on Smithville Road in Eastampton on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012. “It is once again my pleasure to offer couples the unique opportunity to exchange vows at the stately Smithville Mansion,” said Tyler, who has performed more than 500 ceremonies since taking office in 2009. There are a limited number of spots available, so interested couples should contact the clerk’s office as soon as possible to schedule their ceremony. Voting Questions? Find Answers Here

The Burlington County clerk has made it simpler for voters to get answers to some basic election questions. (Figuring out who to vote for is still on you though.)

Don’t know where to vote? Not sure whether you’re even registered to vote? The Burlington County clerk has answers. “With less than 60 days until the election and the conclusion of both party conventions, our call volume has shown a clear increase,” said County Clerk Timothy Tyler. “Residents are calling for basic information and new website links have been added to help them find that information.” The office has added a link to allow voters to be sure they are registered to vote in a few simple steps. The “Check Voter Registration” link will allow a resident to search the state’s voter registration database by entering just their name and date of birth. The “Where Do I Vote” link allows a voter to find their polling location by entering …

Burlington County Offering Halloween Weddings at Haunted Prison

Ceremonies will be held Oct. 21 in the "graveyard." Couples urged to come in costume.

Let’s hope these unions turn out better than The Bride of Frankenstein. Burlington County Clerk Timothy D. Tyler will perform weddings in the Burlington County Haunted Prison next Friday, Oct. 21. “Other county clerks have held mass weddings and Valentine’s Day weddings,” said Tyler. “We were looking for something a little bit different. The Historic Prison Museum has graciously offered a unique location for a unique event.” Ceremonies will be performed beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 21 in the “graveyard” set of the Burlington County Prison Museum's annual Prison Haunt.
