A citizens’ committee, headed by David Schill, is actively preparing for a Moorestown July 4th Parade. The Moorestown Business Association is the primary sponsor of the parade.The parade will begin at noon on July 4, at the assembly point at Chester and Central avenues, continuing to Main Street, where it will finish at the intersection of Church and Main streets. The theme of this year’s parade is “1776,” and a fundraising campaign is underway to raise funds for this community event. The parade will be entirely funded by contributions from citizens, organizations, and businesses. Except for the use of public streets, the Township of Moorestown is not providing any financial support to this parade; it will be funded entirely by voluntary …

July 4th Parade needs donations; fun times at the library.
Fourth of July: The July 4th Parade has received $2,500 in donations for this year’s parade. The parade will have a 1776 theme, as will the fundraising to run the parade. There are three levels of giving: The parade will step off at noon July 4, heading south on Chester Avenue to Main Street and then West on Main Street, ending at the corner of Church and Main streets. The parade is sponsored by the Moorestown Business Association. Donations can be sent to the MBA, P.O. Box 358, Moorestown, NJ 08057, with Fourth of July Parade as the notation. The Moorestown Fourth of July Parade will be back this year. The Moorestown Business Association will host the event, which will include a storefront decoration contest to be judged on July 2. “Dave Schill asked about bring it back,” MBA President Mark Morgan said. “This is a great idea and a wonderful event for Moorestown. Dave is the perfect guy to run this. I have great faith in what Dave Schill can do.” The parade will have a 1776 theme, as will the fundraising to run the parade.
