At the Library

What's More American Than Legos?

Moorestown youths crafted patriotic Lego creations to commemorate the 4th, which are on display now at the library.

Yesterday, Moorestonians enjoyed a fantastic Fourth of July Parade celebrating the Liberty Bell, our freedom, and the grand ol’ USA. The fireworks may be over for now, but the Moorestown Library is continuing the celebration with a special exhibit in our lobby display cases you won’t want to miss. Now through July 14, stop by the library to check out Lego creations celebrating all things patriotic, made by Moorestown children and their families. The collection includes everything from battle scenes to a scene of American family life. We have the Washington Monument, a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln, and plenty of American flags. We even have a Lego “cake” wishing the United States a happy 236th birthday! Children of all ages came to…

Moorestown Library Gears Up for July 4th

Bring your kids to the Moorestown Library today and/or tomorrow for some fun, patriotic-themed activities.

It’s no secret the Moorestown Library has Lego fever, but with the 4th of July right around the corner, it seems we’ve got Liberty fever too. With all this excitement in the air, it seems it’s the perfect time for a very special Lego event at the library: “Give Me Liberty and Give Me Legos!” At 7 p.m. tonight, children of all ages, along with their parents, are invited to use the library’s enormous collection of Legos to build a creation with a patriotic theme—the Liberty Bell, an American flag, the Washington Monument, the Statue of Liberty, or anything that says, “Hooray for the USA!” All of the patriotic creations will be put on display in the lobby of the library through mid-July. Refreshments will be served and a good time will be had…
