Several thousand people turned out Saturday for the the Moorestown Lions Club’s annual holiday parade. Floats, marching groups and bands, mummers, a motorcycle drill team, fire engines, antique cars and Stoney the Kissing Llama put on a tremendous show. Town council, including its newly elected members, witnessed the parade from the reviewing stand, along with Citizen of the Year Doug Sell and Lions Club President Jim Dunges. Prizes were awarded to the floats and marching groups who best exemplified the parade theme, “Dr. Seuss.” Girl Scout Junior Troop #21522 (Grinch) won the float competition with Cub Scout Pack #61 and Girl Scout Troop #22058 taking home second and third prizes, respectively.
