Moorestown Police say the driver was OK, but he might have to wait a little longer to get his license.
A 17-year-old driving with a provisional license smashed into the wall at Memorial Field along South Church Street Monday night, according to police. Moorestown Police said the teen was making a right turn into the field just after 8 p.m. Monday when he lost control of his car and plowed through the wall, chopping off "-ial Field." No one was injured in the accident. The driver was issued a summons for careless driving. Lt. Lee Lieber said officers collected the scattered letters, along with other pieces of the wall, so they could be used in rebuilding it. Some debris from the accident remained scattered across the lawn as of Tuesday afternoon. Township manager Scott Carew said the township had already begun preparing the paperwork to …

Moorestown police officers have started dropping by all the township schools in an effort to create a greater sense of security.
Moorestown Police are beginning to make their presence felt throughout all the township's schools by doing random pop-ins, in light of the heightened sensitivity to school security. Police spokesman Lt.
