'Plowable' Amount of Snow Headed to Moorestown Friday

Get those snow shovels ready—meteorologists are tracking a snowstorm this weekend.

If dealing with freezing cold weather every day this week wasn’t enough—with temperatures floating around in the mid-teens to high 20s—Moorestown can now expect a “plowable” amount of snow on Friday. According to meteorologists with the National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly, a low pressure system is moving over the area Friday bringing even colder temperatures and a snowstorm. Kristin Kline, of the NWS, said officials do not have specific accumulation amounts just yet, but it could be “several inches.” Meteorologists will know more Wednesday and Thursday. Moorestown Could See 2 Inches of Snow Saturday

National Weather Service meteorologists are tracking a snowstorm heading our way this weekend.

Moorestown can expect its second snowfall of the season this weekend, with one to two inches of the white stuff forecast to fall as a weather system makes its way here Saturday. Meteorologist Mitchell Gaines, with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, said parts of southeastern Burlington County can expect a coating but other parts of the county could get a few inches. In some parts of the county, that snow will change over to rain from late morning to late afternoon. It should end in the early evening. However, Moorestown shouldn't see that rain. The temperature will be in the low 30s Saturday morning and rise to the upper 30s in the afternoon. The precipitation should clear up by Sunday with mostly sunny skies and breezy …
