Moorestown Friends Alum, Community Volunteer Dies

W. Edward Borton, a longtime Moorestonian, died at 94 years old earlier this week.

W. Edward Borton, of Moorestown, passed away on Nov. 19 at the age of 94. Born in Moorestown and a lifelong resident, Ed most recently lived in Cadbury at Cherry Hill. He was a graduate of Moorestown Friends School and Earlham College in Richmond, IN. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Medical Corps, and worked at RCA for 42 years. Ed was very involved in the community, serving on the board of the Historical Society of Moorestown, the Community House, a member of the Y’s Men’s Club, a member of the Shade Tree Commission and a treasurer of the Burlington County Girl Scout Council.
