Looking to Get Published?

A panel of authors with the New Jersey Authors' Network will make a return visit to the Moorestown Library to answer the question "I've Finished My Draft, Now What?"

Back in February, Jon Gibbs, of the New Jersey Authors’ Network, told a packed room at the Moorestown Library the “10 Things Every Writer Should Know.” The presentation was well-received and many of you asked us to invite him back again. So at 7 p.m. next Thursday, Sept. 27, Gibbs will return with a panel of New Jersey authors to present “I’ve Finished My First Draft, Now What?”   The presentation will focus on polishing your work and getting it ready for successful submission. The difference between the manuscript that gets published and the one that’s rejected may be as simple as the quality of the editing. Moorestown Writers Share Their Secrets

The Moorestown Library is holding a workshop for writers—aspiring or already-published—next month. Register now.

When it comes to writing, Moorestown’s got talent! Is there an author in your neighborhood? The odds are good if you live in the Moorestown area, where talented writers seem to be flourishing. In response to a lot of enthusiasm from library users for creative writing workshops, we’ve invited several authors from around the neighborhood to give a presentation to interested writers.   The authors joining us include novelists, journalists and nonfiction writers. Some have written memoirs and local histories, like Philip Flanders, who details the heritage, people and institutions of our town and illustrates his histories with vintage and current photographs.
