OLGC Preps for Catholic Schools Week
Catholic school grew by 4 percent in 2011, bucking national trend.
At a time when Catholic school enrollment is in decline nationwide, Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC) is “bucking the trend,” according to Michelle Molz, marketing director for the school. While overall enrollment nationwide dropped 22 percent between 2010 and 2011, according to the most recent report from the National Catholic Educational Association, Molz said OLGC enrollment grew 4 percent in 2011, and has grown previous years as well. Starting next week, the school will have a chance to celebrate its success during Catholic Schools Week.
