Moorestown Residents Walk in on Burglary: Police
Moorestown Police say one of the suspects threatened the homeowners.
A pair of Moorestown residents walked in on a burglary-in-progress at their Maple Avenue home Tuesday evening, police said.
According to Moorestown Police, the residents got home around 5:30 and found their front door had been kicked in. When they entered the home, on the 100 block of West Maple, they were confronted by a white man and woman described as being in their mid to late 30s. The male suspect tried to punch the male resident and threatened that he had a gun, police said. Neither resident was injured.
Both suspects then left the home and fled east on Maple Avenue toward Chester Avenue, according to police. They were driving a GMC Sierra pickup—New Jersey license plate MYL-85V—that police later discovered was reported stolen Tuesday morning in Monroe Township, Middlesex County.
